River West Woodworks was founded by me, Aaron Friedland. I also own and operate Oasis Campervans. After many years of building vans, I developed a desire to make one of a kind custom hardwood furniture that will last for decades.

Whether it’s a coffee table or a whole bedroom set, I work with an attention to detail and form inspired by time-honored styles of woodworking. My work integrates live edge slabs into many projects, which I get from a close friend who mills them in Missouri. Those slabs come from trees that are almost all salvaged from windfall or the dump. I prefer to use natural oil based finishes on projects. Those finishes tend to let the beauty of the wood display itself while still providing lasting protection to the piece.
